RSVP Reminder

A reminder to everyone out there that RSVP's are due back in 2 weeks!

Knowing how many people are coming for sure is crucial in planning any wedding, but especially a destination wedding. Please send back your RSVP as soon as you can so we can put some more of the wedding puzzle pieces together!

If you are waiting to send back the RSVP because you aren't sure whether or not you will be able to make it, shoot one of us an email. We are happy to wait it out a little longer if it means that you might be able to come. :-)

Also, we still have people asking us about the lines on the RSVP postcard. They are there to write your name(s) and a little note.

3 months and 11 days- can you believe it?!

Wedding Registry

First and foremost, please do not feel like you have to get us a wedding gift. Being at the wedding is the gift we really want from everyone we love.

If you would like to get us something, we have registered at the following webistes:

www.potterybarn.com
www.williams-sonoma.com
www.amazon.com

You can find our registry at all these websites by searching for either of our names. Some will prompt you for our state of residence (TN) or the location and month of the wedding (June 2011, CA). If you have any trouble finding it on any of these sites, let me know.

This is not a definitive list; feel free to get us something that isn't listed here. All of you know we love gift cards to Starbucks, iTunes, or Southwest (so we can come home and visit more!) And if you have any questions about things we already have, please don't hesitate to ask. These registries are mostly filled with "wish list" items or things we realized as we looked around our life that we just didn't have...

Please do not bring an actual gift to the wedding as we don't want you to have to travel with it or try to figure out how to ship them all back to TN!

4 months and 4 days! We can't wait!

Recipe Cards?

Several people have been asking me about the recipe cards included in our invitations...

We are using them instead of a traditional guest book.

Our hope is that everyone will bring a special recipe from their family to add to ours. :-)

Just put your name at the top, fill in the recipe information on the card, and bring it with you to the wedding!

If you can't make it to the wedding, we would still love to get a recipe from you. Just drop it in the mail to:   12203 Wyndchase Circle  Franklin, TN 37067 whenever you get the chance.

Please don't feel like the recipe has to be fancy or complex. If it means something to you, it will mean something to us.

Our goal is to make all the recipes in our first year of marriage! Lots of yummy food and memories to start our new life together; we can't wait!

The Marriott Santa Ynez

Hey Everybody!

A lot of people have already been asking us about accommodations when they come out to California for the wedding.

We will be staying at the Marriott Santa Ynez.

It is an absolutely beautiful hotel and is the first certified "green" hotel in Santa Barabara County!

We will be hosting a welcome reception at the hotel on Friday night (June 10th) from 8-10. It is also conveniently located right next door to the brewery where the rehearsal dinner is on Saturday night!

We are hoping to have as many people as possible stay here with us and with that in mind we have negotiated a great rate with the hotel for anyone who reserves under our block of rooms including a fabulous breakfast every morning.

They have set up a website for us http://cwp.marriott.com/sbasy/provencalwedding/ to make it super easy to reserve your room, but you can also call them at 1-805-688-1000 and tell them you are with the "Provencal Wedding."

We are encouraging everyone to find a room buddy or two (the rooms accommodate 4 and include breakfast for everyone already, so sharing a room brings down the cost significantly).

If you would like to share a room with someone but don't know who.. let me know and we will help play match maker for you :-)

If you are not interested in the Marriott, there are a number of hotels in the area depending on your budget and I would be happy to send you a detailed list. (e-mail me at sugarfree73@msn.com)

If you know you'd like to stay here with us, please start reserving your rooms today. That way if we need to block more rooms, we will know with plenty of time before they get booked.

Can't wait to see you all there!

Engagement Photos

Richard and I were so excited to get our engagement photos done this past May when we visited Arizona for my baby sister's wedding!

We knew we wanted to do something "different" so we decided to bake cookies, have a Starbucks date, and do a little dancing in the desert- all while being photographed. Non-traditional to say the least, and we needed to find a photographer up to the task.

Scott Milam not only agreed, but added ideas to our unusual visions.

Beyond being INCREDIBLY talented, he was one of the nicest people and most devoted, enthusiastic Christians we had ever met. We loved working with him and LOVED the way the photos turned out. We are so happy he will be there next June to shoot our big weekend and share in our joy.

Here are a few of the photos he took- the rest you can check out on facebook. :-)
